Kelowna's Prospera Place was a packed house for the Canadian Country Music Association Awards presented Sept. 13.
Hosted by comedian Tom Green, the artist awards were presented during a live broadcast on CTV from 5-7 p.m.
B.C.'s Cameron Whitcomb took home the Breakthrough Artist and Fans' Choice awards. The rising star closed out the show with a lively performance and a backflip off the stage.
Josh Ross was presented with Entertainer of the Year and Single of the Year for his hit song 'Single Again'.
The other winners of the evening were the James Barker Band for Group or Duo of the Year, MacKenzie Porter for Female Artist, Jade Eagleson for Male Artist, and Owen Reigling for Album of the Year with 'Bruce County (From the Beginning)'. Reigling's win was presented by Ford F-150 and included a new pickup truck.
The weekend was rounded out with a two-day festival at Waterfront Park, Sept. 12-13. Food trucks and beverage stands filled Tug Boat Beach while top names in Canadian country music entertained hundreds of attendees on the Island Stage.
