Low-level helicopter flights will take place between Sept. 23 and Oct. 23.

The Town of Ladysmith is alerting residents that low-level helicopter flights will be taking place between Sept. 23 and Oct. 23. This is part of FortisBC’s annual gas line inspection program.

Talon Helicopters, working with LaSen Inc., will conduct the daylight-only flights, which are authorized by Transport Canada.

The helicopters will patrol high-pressure natural gas transmission lines throughout the region. The inspections were originally scheduled for the spring but were postponed due to operational delays.
