Cowichan FC visited Lakehill FC on Sept. 21 in Victoria and battled to a 1-1 draw.
Lakehill scored within the first 25 minutes but Cowichan kept pushing, and the result was the game-tying goal from Brooklynn Macknak in the 48th minute.
The Selects travel to play Gorge FC on Sept. 28. Kickoff is noon at Hampton Park.
Div. 3
The Storm played to their third straight 4-0 victory, on Sept. 20, this time over Lakehill at the Sherman Road turf.
Cowichan opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a Maria Jaramillo goal. Dayna Harris added another in the 61st minute while Kendra Gibson and Sophia Jack scored in the 70th and 76th minutes respectively.
"Everyone played incredibly well and our passing was excellent," said team spokesperson Megan Branch. "It was a battle against a tough Lakehill side but we are thrilled to come out with another win and shutout."
Branch spoke highly of youth pick-up Tamisia Lomas, who joined the team for the match.
The Storm visit Sooke this coming Sunday.
Looking for their third win in a row, the U21 team visited Gorge FC on Sept. 21 in Langford. After conceding the first goal in the 17th minute, Cowichan reset at the break, returning to action in the second half with a two-goal effort. Olivia Johnnny and Brooklyn Gray scored Cowichan's goals.
The U21 side welcomes Mid Island FC on Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Sherman Road turf. Kickoff is 6 p.m.
The undefeated U21 team now sits atop the the Div. 3 standings with the Storm not far behind in third.
Over 30 'A'
The Cowichan Cougars visited Nanaimo United on Sept. 20.
In their best offensive performance of the young soccer season, Coleen Dougan and Jenelle Leedam both scored for the Cougars on Saturday, Sept. 20 but it wasn't enough as the visiting side from Nanaimo doubled that tally for a 4-2 win going away.
The only team in the division yet to win a game this season, the Cougars look to remedy that on Sept. 26 against Castaways United at PISE.
