Some Peachland residents have returned home this evening, Sept. 26, as a portion of evacuation orders have been downgraded to alerts near the Munro Lake wildfire.
The following Peachland properties remain on evacuation order:

The wildfire remains at 220 hectares in size.

The Munro Lake wildfire in Peachland remains 220 hectares as of Friday evening, Sept. 26.
The muster centre at the Peachland Community Centre closed at 5 p.m. Friday and will reopen at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept .27, to provide assistance to evacuees.
Previous evacuation alerts and orders remain in effect. The list of affected addresses, along with the interactive map can be found here.
The fire remains out of control, meaning it is projected to spread further.
The suspected cause of the blaze is humans.
UPDATE 8:55 a.m.
The Munro Lake wildfire in Peachland is now an estimated 220 hectares in size, according to BCWS in its Friday morning update.
Throughout the night, crews worked along Princeton Avenue, as well as along the south flank of the fire, creating access for heavy equipment.
On Friday, ground and heavy equipment crews will be working on the southeast corner of the fire to establish guard. Aerial resources will continue to be supporting throughout the day as well.
In total, BCWS has 41 firefighters and four aerial units battling the blaze.
Cooler overnight temperatures lowered the fire behaviour to Rank 2. However, fire behaviour could rise throughout the day on Friday as sunny and windy conditions are expected. According to Environment Canada, the high for Friday is 21 C with southwesterly winds at 30 km/h, with gusts up to 50 km/h. There is a 30 per cent chance of showers on Friday night.
All evacuation orders and alerts remain in place.

BC Wildfire Service hasn't reported any changes to the Munro Lake wildfire in Peachland as of 7:35 a.m. Friday (Sept. 26).
The human-caused blaze, which started around 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, south of Brenda Mines Road near Munro Lake Forest Service Road, quickly became visible across the Central Okanagan, ultimately erupting to 74.3 hectares in size and causing multiple evacuation orders and alerts to be issued.
As of Friday morning, all evacuation orders and alerts remain in place. The list of affected addresses, along with the interactive map can be found here.
In total, 325 properties remain on evacuation order, while 1,111 are on evacuation alert.
For those who are evacuated and need support, the reception/muster centre at the Peachland Community Centre (4450 6th Street) is reopening at 10 a.m. on Friday.
Ground and structure protection crews remained on scene overnight as they continued to battle the blaze, which was displaying Rank 2 with pockets of Rank 3, meaning a moderate to low vigorous surface fire with a slow to moderate rate of spread. Fire ranks and behaviour are listed here.
The blaze is one of nine out-of-control wildfires across the province currently.
BCWS also confirmed on Thursday night that the blaze is threatening the Munro Lake FSR and the Peachland Main Road.
BCWS has not updated the scene since Thursday night, just after 7 p.m. Black Press Media has reached out for updated information.
There are currently no air quality alerts in affect for the Central Okanagan.
