Roberta Bowman, executive director of the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce, has been awarded the Accredited Chamber Executive (ACE) designation by the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada (CCEC).
The national designation recognizes senior chamber professionals who demonstrate excellence in leadership, strategic planning and organizational management. Recipients must meet rigorous standards of professional competence and show a sustained commitment to advancing the chamber network across Canada.
According to the CCEC, the ACE designation reflects proficiency in areas such as policy, governance, economic development and advocacy.
Bowman said she pursued the accreditation to ensure the Ladysmith Chamber remains aligned with national best practices and to enhance its credibility as an advocate for local business.
“This national designation recognizes senior chamber professionals who have demonstrated leadership excellence, strategic capacity, and a sustained commitment to advancing the chamber movement across Canada,” Bowman said. “It reflects competency in areas such as governance, policy, economic development, and organizational management.”
The Ladysmith Chamber described Bowman’s achievement as a milestone that strengthens the Chamber’s voice and supports its mission to foster economic growth and advocate on behalf of its members.
