The inaugural annual Fine Art Auction which was slated to be held at Unsworth Vineyards on Aug. 23  has been postponed to the spring of next year with the exact date still to be determined.

Due to dwindling ticket sales, Cowichan Valley artist Don Moss, alongside his creative peers and fellow event organizers Rory MacDonald, and Beth Macleod, have made the difficult decision to reschedule their event until the spring to ensure it can be the enticing event they envision; an evening of fine wine and art from local artists with a portion of the proceeds going to help animals through the Cowichan & District SPCA's essential animal welfare programs.

Art lovers will have to bide their time, before getting the chance to bid on a piece that catches their eye.

More details to come as the event approaches in the new year.
