Get ready for a day of open-air shopping, street eats and sweet sounds as the Giant Street Market returns to downtown Chemainus on Saturday, July 5.
Running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the much-loved event will transform Willow Street — between Victoria Road and Oak Street — into a bustling, car-free marketplace featuring more than 150 vendors and local businesses. From handmade crafts to vintage treasures, gourmet goodies to quirky finds, there’s something for everyone.
“Bring the family, explore the streets, and experience the charm of one of Vancouver Island’s most beloved towns,” said organizers from the Chemainus + District Chamber of Commerce in a press release.
The fun doesn’t stop at shopping. At 2 p.m., day one of the Chemainus Valley Blues Festival kicks off a weekend of live music performances. Presented by the Chemainus Valley Cultural Arts Society, the festival will add a soulful soundtrack to the market's afternoon festivities.
Whether you’re hunting for the a bargain, grabbing lunch from a local vendor, or just taking in the fun, the Giant Street Market offers a full day of good times in the heart of Chemainus.
