A driver lost control and crashed into multiple parked vehicles on both sides of the street this afternoon in Harewood.
According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, a pickup truck destroyed or damaged several vehicles on Third Street between Wakesiah Avenue and Watfield Avenue at about 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29.
Police say the evidence indicates the driver was proceeding westbound on Third Street when the incident occurred.
"The driver suddenly lost control of his vehicle and drove into numerous parked vehicles. The suspect vehicle then crossed over the median where it struck other parked vehicles. The pickup veered back into the westbound lane, eventually coming to a rest after striking several other parked vehicles," the release noted.
Police say the driver and passenger or the pickup truck received medical treatment, and the investigation is continuing.
