The Shawnigan Lake Community Association is telling everyone to save the date for their Fall Festival and Market on Sunday, Oct. 19.
People can enjoy vendors, games and treats from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Shawnigan Lake Community Centre.
Organizers promise "lots of fun for everyone!"

The Cowichan Consort Orchestra is reminding young musicians that the deadline for entries to their annual Concerto Competition is Oct. 26.
Those 23 and younger may enter. Further details and the entry form can be found at www.cowichanconsort.com.
The contest is open to instrumentalists, pianists and vocalists.

The Clay Hub Collective is holding their annual pottery sale on Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Among the 20 vendors will be Larry Elaschuk, who will show a wide variety of colourful dragons, teapots, dishes and more.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale will go towards the Clay Hub studio and to the Cowichan Station Area Association.
The Hub is located at 2375 Koksilah Rd. in Cowichan Station.

Tickets for Cinderella are now on sale, the Cowichan Musical Society announced.
The classic Rogers and Hammerstein musical hits the stage at the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre Jan. 23, 30 and 31 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 24, 25, 31 and Feb. 1 at 2 p.m.
"Rehearsals have started, sets are in progress (how will the sets team pull off the magic carriage?) and the costumes will be amazing," said the Musical Society in a press release. "Don't delay."
A variety of prices are available depending on age and seat location. People looking to bring a group of 10 or more are asked to contact organizers for a special price.
The show is directed by Judy Powers, with musical direction by Michelle Weckesser, and choreography by Candace Ammerman and Olivia Boudreau.
