The Rotary Club of Chemainus presented a cheque for $989.38 to the Chemainus Valley Museum, June's community group benefiting from Rotary's recycling collection efforts.

The club holds a bottle drop off in Chemainus every Saturday to raise funds for Rotary club projects. On the third Saturday of each month, Rotary partners with other community organizations to help run the bottle drop and a portion of funds raised then goes to the partnering community group.

The Chemainus Valley Museum preserves and shares the history of Chemainus and the surrounding area through exhibits, archives, and community programs.

The bottle drop is located at the Chemainus Rotary Club’s bunker across from Subway on Chemainus Road and accepts refundable containers on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
