After 14 years in business, Outlooks Menswear Duncan is closing its doors in October.
Owner Miles Anderson said on the store’s Facebook page that, since opening in 2011, Outlooks Menswear Duncan, located at 53 Station St., has been more than just a place to shop, it’s been a gathering place, a part of the community, and a true labour of love.
“To our loyal customers, thank you for trusting us to help you look your best,” he said.
“Your support made every day rewarding, and every suit sold a story shared. To our outstanding suppliers, your quality, consistency, and partnership helped shape the identity of our store. We couldn’t have done it without you. To every employee who worked at Outlooks over the years, thank you for your hard work, your warmth, and your unwavering commitment to our customers. You were the heartbeat of the store.”
Anderson said that as the store winds down operations, customers are invited to take part in its final sale with escalating sales each week.
During the week of Sept. 23, all store items will be 60 per cent off, 70 per cent off during the week of Sept. 30, and the final week of business starting on Oct. 7 will see 80 per cent off.
“We thought it only fitting to make our final week of business coincide with Thanksgiving,” Anderson said.
“We are leaving with full hearts and deep gratitude."

Coastal Community Credit Union has received another workplace distinction by the Great Place to Work Institute Canada.
For the first time, Coastal Community will be recognized on GPTW’s 2025 Best Workplaces for Giving Back list.
According to Kent Jesse, president and CEO of Coastal Community, this honour, which is based on direct feedback from employees, reflects the credit union’s commitment to the co-operative principle of concern for community.
He said building a high-trust workplace is fundamental to the credit union’s values.
“Coastal Community’s survey results reveal that our employees across all demographics and roles appreciate our commitment to giving back," said Jesse. “We invest half a million dollars annually to support Islanders, not-for-profit organizations and local businesses, creating a wave of positive change. And our caring employees are just as committed to making a heartfelt difference. Every year, they roll up their sleeves and volunteer thousands of hours to causes they care deeply about.”
