Barbara Roden

I joined Black Press in 2012 working the Circulation desk of the Ashcroft-Cache Creek Journal and edited the paper during the summers until February 2016, when I became full-time editor of B.C.’s oldest continuously-published weekly newspaper. I am the recipient of the Jack Webster and Canadian Community Newspaper Awards. I am a keen amateur historian, specializing in the Southern Interior and Cariboo Waggon Road, and my historical pieces have appeared in the Journal since 2012. In my spare time, I act and direct with Ashcroft’s local theatre group.
